🧰 Build your own template library

The Template Lab group comes pre-loaded with three tools for building your own AI prompt library — just run them in your AI tool and import the result.

  • Template Builder — Describe what you want a prompt to do and the AI designs a complete, ready-to-import template for you.
  • Template Group Generator — Tell the AI your job title or area of work and it generates a full set of templates covering every task you'd regularly need AI help with.
  • Workflow Generator — Describe a goal and the AI breaks it into a step-by-step sequence of templates, one per stage, where each step feeds into the next.

Switch to the Template Lab group in the sidebar to get started.

💻 No installation needed

aiTemplateLab is a single HTML file. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and no internet connection required after you have the file.

You can run it directly from your desktop, a USB drive, a shared network folder, or a company intranet. Just open it in any modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari — and it works immediately.

This also means you can share it with a colleague by simply sending them the file.

💾 How and where your work is saved

Your templates and history are automatically saved to your browser's local storage as you work — no manual saving needed. They survive page refreshes and browser restarts on the same device.

However, local storage is tied to the specific browser and computer you are using. If you open the app in a different browser or on a different machine, your templates will not be there.

This is why exporting your workspace regularly is important — see below.

⚠️ Why saving your workspace matters

Browser local storage can be wiped if you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or use a different computer. When that happens, all your templates and history are gone with no way to recover them.

Saving your workspace exports everything — all your groups and templates — into a single file you can back up, share with colleagues, or load on another machine.

Use File → Save in the top menu. It takes seconds and protects everything you have built.
